National Womens Studies Association Lesbian Caucus Prize

"The purpose of the annual NWSA Lesbian Caucus Award is to provide a $500 research award in recognition of a Master’s Thesis or Doctoral Dissertation research project that resonates with the mission of NWSA and the goals of the Lesbian Caucus."

Transgender Scholarship and Education Legacy Fund

"Academic scholarships are the primary component of TSELF's program. Each year, after a competitive application process, TSELF awards scholarships to outstanding transgender undergraduate and graduate full-time students. To qualify, applicants must: be full or part-time students at an accredited college, university or institution in the United States; be "out" as transgender to their academic communities, demonstrate a commitment or contribution to the transgender communities; and follow the application guidelines."

The Point Foundation

Audre Lorde Scholarship Fund

"Awared to out lesbians and gay men of African descent who are making significant contributions to their communities. Queer Foundation Scholarship

"The Queer Foundation's Effective Writing and Scholarships Program provides, nationwide, $1,000 college scholarships to outstanding LGBTQ high school students, winners of an annual essay contest to promote queer studies.  Collected, the essays will form queer-the-curriculum materials for use in high schools to benefit all LGBTQ students"

PFLAG (Parents, Families & Friends of Lesbians & Gays) Scholarship Programs

"PFLAG Scholarships provide an important, positive statement to a group of young people that is coping amazingly well in an often adverse school environment. They are marginalized and subjected to harassment and discrimination in many parts of the country, not only at school but also often in their own families.  We have found many of them to be articulate, accomplished scholars with great promise for future contribution to our society in general and to the cause of rights and recognition for GLBT people in particular. "
